A word to the wise folks if taking your Swiftech block apart and putting it back together, dont overtighten it - i just decided to nip up the bolts half a turn and stripped one of the threads in the block base !!! It'll be a re-tapping job !
I'll see if i can get it sorted ! Curse my big hands lol ! i've got most of the bits left over from this build (originally i was planning 2 loops) to w/c my other rig (1 i'm using now) so for the sake of speed i've ordered a D-tek Fusion with the nozzle accelerator kit as they're supposed to be better for quads (allready had the swifty) and i can get it repaired after the build !!
Ok folks, i finally have all the pieces to get the job done, i had 3 hours this am before i had to work and having started the other day with the sleeving of wires/fans etc i thought i'd show you the end product of around 5/6hrs of soldering and sleeving and this is about 80% of what i have to do !!
I have a few hours in the morning to start some work on the stealth covers i have in mind so more updates soon !
Cheers guys, in my 3 hours again today before work, got down to dressing the mobo and Graphics card. Its my 1st time with waterblocks so i took my time and was very methodical. As i said in an earlier post i stripped the thread changing to the copper block on the Apogee GTX and after talkin to Tom at Chilled PC i decided to get the D-tek Fusion block (with the accelerator nozzles) as its rated better for quads anyway and i can get the GTX fixed at leisure and use it on another build and not hold up this one !!
Heres some pics of todays progress :-
