Today is a happy day, got home, took out the board, replaced the Celly with the E3110 and stripped the stock mobo cooling to clean and re-apply with OCZ freeze.

Its now all setup running prime @ 3.6 using Clunks settings from the x48 LT living review. Temps seem OK for now.

If this passes ill start going up slowly hopefully 4050 will be Ok to reach, anything extra will be a nice bonus.

Hmm,
It will go higher into windows at 4.2 but this take 4.5v(smartguardian and cpuz read this as 4.7v) one core always fails imediately running pime95.

It seems stable at those volts for 4050, but i think that it too high for 24/7 use.

I upped the NB and CPU VTT, RAM is on 333/800@1080.

I think the chip might not be too great, temps sit at around 60c but the volts seem too high.

You'll be better off putting the RAM to 1:1 for now, 333/667.

I don't know much about that CPU, is it a Q6600 G0 equivalent? If so, depending on your cooling, 4Ghz might be a little bit over enthusiastic for 24/7

Oh sorry, it pretty much identical to the E8400. It seems nice and stable at 3.6 with 1.375V but 4G is the magic number methinks.

All suggestions appreciated.

Aahh ok, 4ghz is more doable then

Still try the 333/667 and see if thats stable though.
