my first project :P

hi folks,

ive been a bit quiet of late what with the academic year coming to an end and me having to have all my work in! well i started my project last week and ive done a few things already (i should of took picture to start with lol ill improvise) i changed my system over into a thermaltake soprano case so i can still use it!
iam going to be using a coolermaster stacker st01 as the starting point. dont have a theme as such well it is in a way lol. iam going down the whole hulk 1970s route when he had purple pants (god knows why they changed to blue much better purple) iam gonna use the colour scheme and maybe get my airbrush out and do a bit of artwork on the case, depends if i can find a picture i like!

anyway i have sleeved some of the cables in the acryan green mod kit. iam in the process of making my own 24 pin extension in green and iam gonna try and sleeve the pre sleeved cables on my tagan power pack they have a black plastic casing on a few so that wont do. now the case, lol ive taken it apart quiet literally ready for rubbing down and priming! the top panel i took off after finding the correct rivits to replace it with. i have also started to cut a window in the top panel.

ill try and post some pics in the next few days and ill tell you whats happening with what and what ideas i have!

Sorry about the delay, ive been filming a short for the sundance, cannes film festivals with chris rankin.

i will take the photos today of what i have done cables and window in case plus what iam putting on the side of the case.

okey dokey, here is what i have done with the cables for the hulk machine!




i have a few more cables to do yet (sata and another usb for the front panel) iam also going to sleeve the pcie cables on the psu with it being a tagan its a bit of a pain without taking the whole thing apart and seeing it under warranty iam not doing that!

the thick loop cable in the center is a mobo power extention i made (just a 24 pin to 24 straight time consuming but fun)
next is the case, its a coolermaster stacker with a window in the top i managed to do this with a rotary tool (£20 maplin ) a coping saw and a hacksaw blade on its own. some of you might say that there isnt any room for the plastic piece to go back on! ive sorted that, that will come later! i have cut out the whole fixing plate at the bottom for my 240 rad (coldest air being at the bottom) iam goona spray the whole thing with filler primer to get rid of any nics or scratches ive caused. the colour scheme is going to be green and purple, as for which way round i dont know yet!



iam gonna do a bit of work on it over the weekend so ill update next week!

ive changed the awful green shrink on the end of the sata cables to purple to match the other end

ps i saw the hulk tonight i quiet liked it, its better than the last one
