Default The CandyCube Lives Again !

As you have possibly read i've bought Collossous's custom painted mountain mods case

Well today was build day !!

So here goes

This is the old Thermalltake Armor which is being replaced by the Mods , did a pic of them side by side to give you an idea of the size !
Gonna be plenty of room in that devil

The DFI P35

Heres a few of the odds and ends thats are going in

Thermaltake Toughpower , Dfi P35 , 2 rads ( 1 X 240 + 1 X 360 ) , Feser Black coolant , Sunbeam rheobus fan controller + various fan extension leads and splitter cables.

1st things 1st tho .....my Thermochill 120.2 rad has seen better days !!!

Its been a few cases and has seen better days ehh ? ! , its been hidden in the front the Armor for ages !! so i've never bothered with it

So i took one of Collosous's top tips .........

The Secret Weapon !!

Out with the masking tape and gave it a couple of coats of paint !

Tho i'd take what it says about "touch dry" in 20 mins under advisement

Anyway it seems to have turned out ok in the end

A word of warning too while i'm at it !! this hammerite does seem to like aluminium at all
I'd painted a spare Hdd caddy as i'm too impatient to wait and order a proper mountain mods one from America ( no stock in the UK ) anyway ...... the paint doesn't seem to cover right
SO BE WARNED !

Now that the rads sorted onto the case ! lets get some of those bits installed !

Thats the the slimline 360mm rad and motherboard installed

Next the revamped thermochill ! and this is where the problems started

Decided to mount the rad on the inside of the case then the fans onto the rad .... confused ? you'll see what i mean !

I'd placed the rad into the case expecting all the holes to match up and it to " Fit Like a Glove " ........how wrong could i have been ?????

To my horror the holes on the case are too close together compared with how they are on the rad !

As i decided today was the day for the build and due to limited time ........it was out with the drill !!!!

Nahhh not on the case !! on the rad ! fortunatley the outer piece of the rad around the mounting holes had enough spare space for me to drill a couple more holes

And there it is mounted
