31 July Update!
Quick Update: Been in/away in Switzerland again but maintained the dialogue on the QX9770 BIOS issue with the Foxconn team, and at last the Quantum team have confirmed there are some issues with the QX9770 because its FSB is higher than the norm.. So looking forward to the next BIOS update and hopefully find some gains, though chance is they’ll just be what I’ve already discovered but I’m hoping!
My next steps will be trying to first reduce the voltage and maintain the 3.8GHz because I’m on air, temp increase quickly with voltage but we all know that..
Hopefully get some time in on the machine over the next week since I currently don’t have any plan to be away from home but that can change very quickly!
