Default Gladiator Bios 2of3

Gladiator Bios- (2of3)

Memory Timing Config

Relativerly new settings here are :-
Fast Chip Select - [Enabled]/[Disabled]
Clock Per Command - Units = Clock Cycles
Dll Adjust for Channel & 1

The following voltage increments are rather coarse compared to other boards.

Increment

CPU Voltage Multiplier

Normally set to 1 but can be used in conjunction with CPU Voltage setting to obtain higher volts. E.G. Maximum CPU Voltage setting = 1.60v
Maximum CPU Voltage Multiplier = 1.296 Together this gives 1.60 x 1.296 = 2.08v Vcore , that should get you somewhere , anyway you get the idea

CPU Voltage Setting Vcore to you & me.

Dram Voltage Setting 3.365V on DDR2 Ohhh, that's gotta burn Default: 1.80v Incremrnt : 1.80~2.395v =0.045 >2.395 065v , usually about 0.025v on other

boards.

There's no gtl ref , & CPU PLL is combined with the SB voltage. The voltage increments are rather coarse compared to other boards. for example DFI LT X38-T2R LanParty
DFI Vtt increment = 0.005v compared with Foxconn 0.075v

NB Voltage Setting Increment 0.045v

CPU VTT Voltage Setting Increment 0.075v

SB Voltage Setting Increment 0.037v

Default The Build

Putting the board together in my rig was straight forward, there were a couple of minor issues:-
1) Case Connectors (front Panel Connection) this header only has a 2 pin PWR-Led connection, whilst my case, like many , has a 3 pin connector. Some

motherboard manufacturers provide both , which is the perfect solution.

2) Colour Coded USB/1394 Bracket Think i'm only raising this because there is nothing else Would be nice if the colours matched to make connection

easier for the user.

Good Stuff!

It'll be interesting to see how this does against the X38 boards

Bit of a disappointing start. I tried to go from here OCCT 4230 470x9 1:20 1128Mhz Vcore = 1.3875v on the Abit IX38QuadGT.

There's a lot more droop on this board.
Started with 1.3875 as the Abit went to 1.425v still no stability, dropped 0.5 multi to 8.5 & it stuck.

Vcore Summary:-
Bios Vcore 1.425v
Idle Aegis 1.38v
Load Aegis 1.35v

At least CPU-Z hets the clocks right unlike Foxconn's Aegis or Occt

Benches

this Mars board looks better in your pics than some I've seen, it's quite an attractive board despite that NB cooler which says to me "wagon train" ... supposed to be a good overclocker too, for me P35 is still king in the bang for bucks category, good luck on your testing mate!

yep it's a damn well built board. I must admit until i got the board , saw the fan & tunnel on the NB I hadn't realised quite how clever it was. Know what you mean about a wagon train. It reminds me of those old gypsy caravans

Like these - Wagon of the month must be the Mars

yep P35 v X38 comparisons will be interesting with this, Watch this space for winner
