That's the reason my last 2 boards have been Gigabyte & Abit.

I was ready for a change, and didn't like the 15 variant idea.

Exactly which is where both DFI & Abit have made a niche for themselves on occasion with a good board. Prior to this Abit have had 2 in a row. Think many , including myself were hoping for 3. My experience is that the board ain't bad but the package leaves a sour taste.

Personally not a clue, but X38 in general seems to run quiet well. But even at £65 I don't feel the urge to try . i'll save that to my ddr3 fund

You should be able to do 334x9 easy.
