sup shanks haven't posted in a while cuz i've been busy, but neways.... believe it or not, i still can not run prime for more than a few min. on the computer, and the current voltage on the CPU is 1.55, and the other mch and those are .35 overvolt each...

i don't want to go any higher, but i dunno why it won't stay stable with just that voltage, it should be enough........ >_<

any more ideas? i don't want to higher up the voltage.... if possible

neways, look, i ran 3dmark on it to see what i would get, this is what i got:

is that good?

EDIT:
i just got a new fan for my comp, and it's rated at 1900RPM for 110CFM, does anyone know a good tool to use to force it to run at 1900RM all the time? cuz it runs at 1750 normal...

How didn't they fit ?? was thinking of ordering 1 for the x48t & getting a NB water block.

luck
They are too wide if i force them in ill end up damaging the components surrouding the area.

Can someone please please advise on my other options, i have pretty much searched google for someone with the same problem or a resolution to this specific problem. I thought we were enthusiasts dont tell me everyone i using the supplied "crazy cool" heatpipe system lol thats not enthusiastic lol.

Assume you mean bios ??, see CPU-Z Motherboard Tab Bios section.

Hi X-Kenshin-X,
if it's failing that quick I would guess it's failing on Large FFts, which most likely means memory is unstable. What are your timings ??

ckirkby3
Thermalright are the only ones i know doing mossfet /pwm coolers, other than waterblocks.
Are you sure you've got the right one, can you maybe post some pics of the cooler & the box ?? . I've got a HR-09S Type2 & a HR-09U which are boith for asus boards and are too wide for the gigabyte board.

The chart shows HR-09 U TYPE2 is the gigabyte compatable one .
a) Are you sure that's the one you were supplied with
b) Have you contacted the supplier/thermalright
c) Only other option is make one yourself. On my Comnmando I did that, use some sheet aluminium to cut out a base that fits, drill holes & use a pair of pushpins for mounting. I used the self adhesive heatsinks like this CoolerMaster SAC-P01-UK Little Chipset Cooler Heatsink to mount onto the aluminum sheet.

As i'm about to order one myself as i said , i've got an interest in this. I don't fancy oredering 1 to find it doesn't fit, if this is the case it blows my opinioon of thermalright.

luck

Just curious if you have tried to set your bios back to the optimal settings then work your way up from there with your overclock because with my ex38 dq6 that I just got. I was messing with it and seeing how high I could get with my q6600 and noticed that when I go from a higher clock then try to step down everything goes hay wire and not only that when I mess with the settings enough memory exc. I seem to piss it off and need to tell it to load the default optimum "I know I am spelling it wrong" settings to get it to act right again. For example I can crank it up to 3.9Ghz and will have to pump up the voltage to 1.55v~ then if I want to go back down to 3.6Ghz I can't get it stable if I try to turn the voltage back down to 1.38v~ which is what it is happy with if I set the defaults and work it up to 3.5Ghz~ then once it reboots because it needs more juice I bump it to that and wula it is happy as can be... I hope this helps you, I fealt it might by looking at your post.

Hell you might even want to clear your cmos the hard way if you haven't alredy, take out the battery and leave a short on the clear cmos jumper with it unplugged course for about ten minutes.. Then put everything back and see if she is acting better.

And also set all your memory settings yourself accept for the last two, This will keep it from jumping around on you, I have mine set to a performance level of 6 @ 1069 with the extreme setting @ 2.66d .

my memory is running at 3.0 SPD, and 1200MHZ at 5-5-5-15

it's not the memory shanks, because the ONLY test i've run so far, is the small FFT, in order to isolate the processor as the only culprit...........

also, i went into speedfan and there's absolutely no option that lets me up the voltage on the fan, or anything...

HI im back. We had a storm and a power outtage for 24 hours here in Melbourne. Trees and power lines are down all over the roads and its mayhem.

Anyhow, in the meantime i purchased some OCZ Reaper 1066Mhz but the problem is still there.

Latency is actually worse. Supershanks can you run Everest cache and memory benchmark and post the results. Just the 3 Latency settings will do.

Thanks

Oh i did run prime on the corsiars and it passed...its like the memory settings are stuck or something.
